ABSTRACT
Objective: To explore the expression level of hsa_circ_000164 9 in colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods: In this experiment, the expression level of hsa_circ_0001649 in CRC tissue was tested by using real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCRs). Results: The expression level of hsa_circ_0001649 was obviously down-regulated in CRC tissue, compared with paired paracancerous histological normal tissues (PCHNTs) (P<0.010). Hsa_circ_0001649 was obviously up-regulated in the patients' peripheral blood after operation. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was 0.828. We also found a significant connection between the expression level of hsa_circ_0001649 and pathological differentiation of CRC (P=0.039). Conclusion: hsa_circ_0001649 was obviously down-regulated in CRC; therefore, it may be used as a new biomarker in the diagnosis of CRC.
